The Oregon Zoo has a new baby elephant. Lily was born in November. Unfortunately, it’s nearly impossible to get a good photo of her. I have mixed feelings about zoos. I always feel sorry for the animals but on the other hand I’m glad to have the opportunity to see the animals much closer than I would ever be happy about in the wild.
The bears were one of our favorites.
There were four different bears.
It was obvious they have their disagreements and probably fleas.
One bear seemed to be in charge of the other bears.
She seemed particularly protective of the youngest bear, so perhaps she was the mamma bear.
This bear seemed to be sitting there minding its own business but it received a talking to from the mamma bear.
He was apparently sent to time out.
He had his best pitiful face on.
All he really wanted to do was to go to his room but the door was closed.
So while the younger bear played in the water and the other two bears hung out and talked, this bear could only look on.
