Photography has been teaching me about acting in the moment. To often I put things off, I believe I can get it done later, take the chance to talk to someone some other time, only usually there is no other time. This is very true in photography. The light is only there for that moment and then it moves, it changes, and it’s rare for that moment to repeat.
I had been out in this tree’s neighborhood a few days before but had decided not to whip off the road to take some pictures. I returned several days in a row, but the tree was the only shot that would present itself again. Life is short, act on your moments.
