Shillapoo Wildlife Area is just west of Vancouver Lake near Vancouver, Washington. It’s outstandingly beautiful, wild and pastoral at the same time. We were blessed with vast and interesting clouds and skies that day. I got my first cloud burn of the year. Most people would call it a sunburn but how do you do that when you haven’t really seen the sun all day, only the shifting and rolling clouds.
I wasn’t there to photograph cows that day or even wildlife or landscapes. No, it was a far harder target, people. I was there for my very first photo shoot. Hopefully the photos will be coming soon. I believe these cows enjoyed the show. Whatever were those strange humans up to?
