Dawn on Mt. Union

Dawn on Mt. Union

I like cemeteries, always have. They calm me. When I was a teen I would drive to the cemetery just outside of town. It sat on a hill and even on a cloudy day you could see most of the valley. Whatever youthful troubles I was having would wash away in the presence of so much marble and a good view. I didn’t understand then why I would find the place calming when so many avoided it, I have a better grasp now. A cemetery puts things in perspective. We all end up here. With that in mind, petty grievances are much harder to hold onto.
