This was a pretty tame nutria, that or the clover was just to good to leave alone. It was hanging out with the young mallards at the entrance to the garden. It seemed to like a safety of about 10 feet around it, that was fine with me. Nutria aren’t exactly known for their warm cuddly nature.
I wondered how many people had mistaken it for a beaver. It did, after all, live in the Beaver Marsh.
