I just returned from Washington, DC. The United States Botanical Garden was a must see for me, it was fabulous. The first time we visited we ran out of time and could only visit the outdoor garden. It was still morning and deeply overcast, it had been slightly rainy the night before. There were quite a few Monarch Butterflies and the cooler temps combined with the damp kept them grounded. This one seems to like to live dangerously, hanging out with pitcher plants.
